The Legend Of Zelda Is Taking Us Back To The Wilds Era November 2026

Individual Legend of Zelda games have a penchant for building out their own universes. Majora’s Mask was a sequel to Ocarina of Time, and there are several games within the Wind Waker timeline. It’s a magical ability that few franchises can boast, as Nintendo can adapt pretty much any era of Zelda whenever it feels like it. But for Breath of the Wild, Nintendo really tapped into something massive. It was a bona fide system-seller for the Nintendo Switch, and is one of the most successful games on the platform to this day. Tears of the Kingdom was also a massive hit, leaving fans wondering what Nintendo will do next. Before that future era is revealed, Nintendo is taking us back to the Wilds era early, thanks to a new announcement. It’ll be out by the end of the year, potentially before the Ocarina of Time remake.

When November 2026 hits, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Decayed Master Sword life-sized statue will be released. Inspired by the Tears of the Kingdom iteration of the sword and the game’s art style, the statue features a resin base and a detachable ABS blade with a metal handle. You’ll also get limited-edition numbering, and an authentication card. The measurements are similarly massive:

W: 10.4″ / 26.5 cm

D: 10.4″ / 26.5 cm

H: 28.1″ / 71.3 cm

Weight: 5 kg

Here’s what went into the creation of the statue: “The Decayed Master Sword is a deteriorated form of the original weapon. Its decay stems from the Gloom beneath Hyrule Castle, which also severely weakened Link by draining his health and stamina and destroying his right arm. The statue draws inspiration from the scene where the Master Sword is shattered by the Gloom released during Ganondorf’s resurrection beneath Hyrule Castle. This life-size statue depicts the Decayed Master Sword standing upright, with the dark energy of the Gloom spreading upward from the resin base and enveloping the corroded sections of the blade. The handle is crafted from metal, the blade is made of durable ABS, and the sword can be detached from the base.”

This stunning statue comes at an equally impressive price of $519.99, which is to be expected for something life-sized. It’s also roughly in line with other First 4 Figures, which works with licenses like Spyro, Darkstalkers, Berserk, Banjo-Kazooie, Dark Souls, and Sonic the Hedgehog, among others. But given how many Tears of the Kingdom fans there are, it’s certain to have some takers. The entire Wilds universe has accomplished a lot and ushered in a whole new generation of Zelda players.
