10 Best Ways To Make Money In Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ranked

One thing that becomes readily apparent in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is just how much money you’ll need to fund Edward’s pirate empire, especially with the new content and questlines added in the remake. While you’ll gather plenty of spending money just by playing through the story and engaging in Black Flag Resynced’s expansive open world, several methods are far better than the rest. You’ll likely have come across a few interesting methods of earning coin, like Gaming Bets or Pickpocketing, quite early on in Black Flag Resynced, but several of these methods are far too inconsistent to be reliable. Whether you’re trying to level up the Jackdaw, upgrade your hideout to the max, or simply want to go on a shopping spree, these methods are your best bet when it comes to amassing as much wealth as possible.

As you engage in Black Flag Resynced’s side content from hunting animals, plundering ships, or looting for treasure, you’ll be stumbling across hordes of trade-in goods and even animal pelts at times as you progress through the game. While these can be used for other trades or shop purchases, if you have an abundance of one resource, you can safely sell off a chunk of it for some decent coin, leaving only a dozen of each in case you need some later on. You should never trade regular materials, however, and I wouldn’t recommend selling off animal skins until you’ve finished upgrading Edward’s tools, as you’ll need a handful of rare hides that you don’t want to go out finding again. If you know for sure you don’t need a good though, they can be an excellent way to farm for money while you play, especially when it comes to rare sea animals or hides from Humpback Whales and Red Howler Monkeys.

Looting Warehouses Can Help Pad Your Pockets

While warehouses can hardly seem worth the effort, considering how out of the way they are and with some strict requirements for the ones you come across in Black Flag Resynced’s campaign. Thankfully, the process of obtaining their valuable goods is far easier after the first time around. From my experience, all you have to do after revisiting a previously stolen warehouse is look for a regular guard without a hat roaming around shouting orders, as he will nearly always be the one carrying the key you need. After unlocking the warehouse, you’ll get a small chunk of money, but more importantly, dozens of valuable trade-in materials that you can sell yourself or offload through your fleet.

Looting Chests Is Tedious, But Worth The Effort

One thing that you’ll find an absolute abundance of while playing Black Flag Resynced is countless crates, boxes, and chests scattered all across the game world. While the smaller containers don’t have as many essential goods, larger chests and underwater ones can net you nearly a thousand gold at times, depending on how out of the way they are, making it always worth checking out if you come across one. While it can still be a bit tedious to go through every single chest in Black Flag Resynced, if you use Synchronization Points ahead of time it significantly reduces the amount of backtracking you’ll have to do later on, as you can collect them as you go and earn a steady stream of income in the process.

Burning Ships Are Always Worth Stopping By For

While there are plenty of events you’ll come across sailing the seas in Black Flag Resynced, one that you always want to stop for, no matter what, is if you ever see a burning ship. While these spawn somewhat infrequently, they always offer hundreds of coins for you and usually a few other valuable resources while you’re at it as well. The best part about burning ships is that, unlike other money-making methods, it’s one of the easiest events in black Flag Resynced, as all you have to do is jump on board and search through several chests before heading back to the Jackdaw before the burning ship explodes.

Your Hideout Money Box Is A Guaranteed Method Of Passive Income

While your hideout on Great Inagua requires some hefty investment to get fully operational, one of the biggest benefits comes from being able to earn passive income from its inhabitants. Even if the rate of roughly 30 gold per minute doesn’t seem like much at first, it can quickly add up over time while you’re playing, letting you return to up to 5 thousand gold pieces without any effort on your part whatsoever.

Upgrading the final level of the hideout will also grant you several legendary cosmetics and other goodies for your effort.

While the rate doesn’t increase, upgrading the mansion will increase the maximum amount you can store at one time, which helps in case you forget to collect it regularly or don’t want to waste time intravitelline back all the time, as the mansion is the only place where you can collect these rewards.

Naval Fleet Trading Can Net You Some Hefty Bounties

While it requires a bit more effort than the passive income offered by the Money Box, your Naval Fleet is easily one of the best ways to get large chunks of money at a time. On top of restocking local warehouses and obtaining materials, you can also exchange trade-in goods for drastically higher profits than if you sold them off one by one yourself. Selling for thousands of coins rather than hundreds, it’s far more efficient to sell goods through the Naval Fleet whenever possible, although you can still safely sell off excess trade-in goods, so long as you have at least a few dozen of each lying around in case a good deal pops up.

Treasure Maps Offer More Than Just Equipment Unlocks

While treasure maps seem to have been updated to offer even more valuable rewards for your effort, the downside is that they’re a non-renewable resource and can be hard to consistently come by. Still, after using synchronization points on an island, it will show you exactly where you can find a map if there’s even one to find. The tricky part comes from actually finding the buried treasure itself, as you’ll need to head over to a second island and find the coordinates to dig up your rewards. Not only does buried treasure offer a sizeable chunk of coin for your efforts, but it can also grant additional rewards like ship upgrade blueprints to make them worth the effort, especially if you’ve already discovered the island and can quickly fast travel to it.

Naval & Assassin Contracts Have Generous Payouts

While Black Flag Resynced will start to throw a lot of various contracts at you once you’ve started unlocking more and more islands, the bounty missions across its world are absolutely nothing to scoff at. Split between Naval Contracts after progressing to Great Inagua, and Assassin Contracts after Tulum, you’ll be able to take on missions that net thousands of coins each, in addition to providing additional looting opportunities.

While Naval Contracts typically pay out better upfront and even offer the chance to plunder the cargo of several ships at once, the Assassination contracts take far less time to complete on average, usually only requiring you to take out a few pirates further down on the same island. Despite it being up to personal preference which one you want to focus on first, both contract types are among the most consistently effective ways to make money in Black Flag Resynced.

Underwater Treasure Is A Lucrative Market In Black Flag

Out of all the side activities in Black Flag Resynced, easily the most profitable comes from searching for underwater treasure using the Diving Bell. Offering the opportunity to get thousands of coins per venture, and having several of the best cosmetics and weapon upgrades in the game locked under the water, Diving Bells are an absolute gold mine that are always worth doing if you come across one. The only downside to diving bells really is that there are a scarce few of them scattered around the map, and they don’t refresh like other activities in the game, which is made even more satisfying as you sail away from a massive haul, listening to Black Flag Resynced’s new shanties.

Plundering Ships Is Easily Black Flag’s Most Efficient Farming Method

As you start progressing further into Black Flag Resynced, not only do you get more options when it comes to quickly taking down enemy ships, but they’ll start getting progressively more valuable cargo the larger they get. While most ships only have a measly bounty to claim, spending a few seconds launching cannons and ramming them can leave them a pile of rubble in seconds, with your pocket hundreds of coins richer. Only a handful of ships in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will offer rewards worth going out of your way for each time, which are most commonly the commander of a fleet. Unlike other methods, a battle lasting only a couple of minutes, depending on your weaponry, can easily earn you thousands of coins if you strike a high-value convoy, while also offering one of the most consistently reliable methods that won’t run out as you progress.
