Cyberpunk 2077: Into The Night Officially Launches July 2026
It appears there is an endless swathe of Cyberpunk 2077 content for fans to enjoy being produced at a rapid rate, as new mods, DLC, crossovers, updates, and multimedia projects are constantly being announced and released. Within 2026 alone, we’ve had the phenomenal Wuthering Waves crossover, the announcement of a replica katana, and a handful of mods that add 100s of new quests to keep things feeling fresh and interesting. It isn’t stopping there either, as a brand-new Cyberpunk 2077 game is launching very soon. Obviously, this isn’t the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, as that is undoubtedly not releasing for a good few years while CD Projekt Red focuses on The Witcher 4 and beyond. However, there really truly is a new game releasing set within the world of Cyberpunk 2077 featuring a lot of the characters fans have come to know and love, and it is coming out in July 2026.

Cyberpunk Legends: Into Night City is an upcoming co-op card game from developer Night Crew Games. It sees the Cyberpunk IP return to its tabletop roots while still adhering to a lot of the visual design and gameplay mechanics introduced in Cyberpunk 2077, ostensibly offering the best of both worlds. Designed for 1 – 4 players, Cyberpunk Legends: Into Night City features two modes: a narrative-driven one where players interact with Cyberpunk 2077 characters long before they became legends, and a roguelike deckbuilder mode that tests everything players have learned. It launched onto Kickstarter back in September 23, 2025 and managed to garner $1,261,771 from 8,628 backers. While not quite as much as other Cyberpunk-related Kickstarter projects, it was more than enough to smash the initial goal and hit a number of stretch goals. Those who backed the project will get a handful of Kickstarter exclusive cards and goodies, but the base product will be made available to the general public when it releases in July 2026.
The turnaround for this particular campaign is rather short, but that’s largely due to how deep into development the game was before the Kickstarting process began.
Cyberpunk Legends: Into Night City is really about living one’s Night City dream, meeting iconic characters when they were just starting their careers in the legendary city, and experiencing the events that led up to Cyberpunk 2077’s story. Its campaign is ever evolving, with different scenarios designed to test each player’s skills and wits. Players will work together to build poker hands to overcome obstacles, with cards having unique effects that can further alter an outcome.
It is perhaps not particularly astounding just how much Cyberpunk 2077 has blossomed into a monolithic IP beloved by all, especially considering how phenomenal even the base version of it was, warts and all aside. This co-op card game is a mere extension of Cyberpunk’s push to become a multimedia juggernaut. Considering Cyberpunk Legends: Into the Night was developed in tandem with the TTRPGs original creator, fans can expect a truly faithful and action-packed experience that will feel a lot like Cyberpunk 2077, albeit minus the occasional bug and t-posing character model.
